Both Voluntary and Paid Surface Internet Advocates help introduce an Internet designed to broaden participation, reduce dependence on digital gatekeepers, and bring people and businesses into the Internet through surfaces, presence and encounters.
Help people understand why Internet participation can extend beyond browsers, links, search and apps.
Help people and businesses establish their place in an encounter- and awareness-based Internet.
Support an infrastructure where participation can begin from surfaces and encounters rather than depending only on conventional digital destinations.
Voluntary Surface Internet Advocate
Participates because they believe in the transition: broader digital inclusion, fewer gatekeepers and an Internet that can meet people through the surfaces and encounters around them. Voluntary advocacy carries recognition without a commission-based earning expectation.
Paid Surface Internet Advocate
Shares the same advocacy mission, with an economic participation layer attached. Eligible earnings can come from qualifying activity the advocate helps bring into Surface Internet.
There is no separate public Advocate signup. First reserve a Surface Internet Identity and become a partner. The option to participate as a Voluntary or Paid Advocate is then available from the Partner Dashboard.

Voluntary and Paid Advocates share the same purpose: introduce the new Internet, expand inclusion and help people participate. The difference is whether economic participation is attached to the advocacy role.
